The story takes place when a strange virus comes into Sunshine and Darkmoon districts. This cause an earthquake, destroying the Digital World's entree and making several Digimon degenerate into Digi-Eggs mysteriously. So, the player takes control of Night Crow tamer, as rumors say they spread the virus and try to find out the mystery regarding the earthquakes. The players can choose to play as a girl or boy and explore various areas in the game. The Dusk introduced many new Digimon to the franchise, and some of the new ones are EXO-Grimmon, Chicchimon, and ChaosGrimmon. The Grimmon's are the new main enemy in the game and connect with the Chronomon Destroyer Mode, who is a boss from the first game.
